My Life With The Walter Boys is a captivating show on Netflix about a grieving teenage girl whose family died in a car accident, resulting in her moving to Colorado with the Walter family. Jackie immediately took a liking to Cole and Alex, the older Walter boys. The Walter family consists of the parents, George and Katherine, and the eight boys—Will, Cole, Danny, Alex, Nathan, Jordan, Parker, and Benny—along with two of George’s nephews, Issac and Lee. The second season was just released on Thursday, August 28, 2025, and with it, my honest opinion.
My Life With The Walter Boys is a teen romance and love triangle that never gets old! This show is TV-14 and targeted towards teenagers and young adults. This season is definitely worth watching because we get to see growth and character development happen. Beware, season 1 spoilers ahead. The first season ended with lots of drama, such as Alex telling Jackie he loved her and Jackie kissing Cole, then leaving for New York without saying goodbye. Season two picks up with Katherine coming to New York and persuading Jackie to come back to Silver Falls, Colorado. Without spoiling anything from season 2, I can tell you that Cole becomes more heartfelt, kind, and understanding to others. The actor Noah LaLonde does an exemplary job at creating that connection and chemistry with Jackie. Alex changed as well, just in a different sense; whereas Cole became a better version of himself, Alex became rude and moody because all of a sudden girls were interested in him. The actor Ashby Gentry did a great job at making it seem like he was truly experiencing how Alex was changing. Isn’t it weird that Cole has girls fawn over him yet chooses to change and better himself? Can you tell I’m Team Cole? Overall, the actors did an awesome job at making the show interesting and entertaining, making season two come to life.
While the acting was top-notch, the filming locations stood out even more! My Life With The Walter Boys was filmed in Alberta, Canada, and the natural scenery is gorgeous. Since one of the main characters, Jackie, had to adjust from city life to country life, the wide open plains were the perfect choice for a believable ranch backdrop. Silver Falls may not be a real town, but you’d never know it based on the scenic locations in Alberta!
Thanks to the great acting, rich character development, and impressive filming locations, this show was overall a great watch! In the opening weekend of season two being released on Netflix, 11.8 million people viewed the show. If they are anything like me, they’ll agree that this is a must-watch show! I would rate this show a 4.5 out of 5 flames, losing only half a flame for having some slow, time-waster moments. Other than that, this show was very good, and I can’t wait for season three!
