If you’re looking for a way to de-stress, the school gym is the place to be. The Badminton Club is officially open to everyone, creating a “social and inclusive” vibe focused on casual play rather than intense competition, advisor Mr. Komaromi said. He emphasized that there are no tryouts and no need to bring your own gear, since the club supplies all necessary equipment to keep it a welcoming environment for anyone trying something new.
Current members say the experience is both fun and rewarding. Shlok shared that “tournament and training is fun” and highly recommends it to anyone unsure about joining. Pras added that students shouldn’t be nervous because “there are no tryouts, no fees… you just need to show up in gym shoes.” While the atmosphere is low-pressure, members can still compete in tournaments and take part in specific training to improve their skills. With a commitment of just one session a month, it’s an easy way to hang out with friends and get better at the sport without overwhelming your schedule. A special come-and-play session will be held in the school gym in the coming week and information will be posted on badminton club instagram .
Not convinced? It isn’t how hard you smash, it’s where you smash. With all gear provided, zero fees, and no tryouts, every barrier to entry has been removed. Whether you want to rally casually or sharpen your strategy, the court is ready. Lace up your gym shoes, grab a racquet, and see what you can do.
