Just a few plays into one of most hyped games in recent memory, the star of the show, Aaron Rodgers, went down with an injury. He was taken to the blue medical tent and then carted to the locker room. He was then ruled out for the game. Everyone was shocked, but the worst news for this franchise and their newly acquired franchise player was yet to come. On Tuesday morning, it was revealed that he had torn his Achilles, which is the worst possible ankle injury that he could have had. This was season-over, career altering, and horrible news for Jets fans. There are some very important decisions that the Jets and their star, Rodgers, need to make sooner than later. For the Jets, who will be their QB for the rest of their season? And for Rodgers what’s next for his career?

What’s next for Aaron Rodgers, will he ever play football again? This question can be met with another question: is it worth it to try and return to football, or was this a wake up call to retire? If you take a look at Aaron Rodgers’ career, you will see that he will be turning 40 in a few months, and he already has a super bowl and enough money to live a very comfortable life. To be honest, all we can do is guess Rodgers’ next career move and that’s all there is. But, to be honest, there’s no reason for Rodgers to continue playing, but knowing him, he might try. If he decides to retire, it won’t be right away, and it may not even be permanent. Rodgers has his own agenda, which means you never know what he is going to do. All people can do is wait and see.

What’s next for the New York Jets? This is something we will find out very soon. As of right now, Zach Wilson is definitely going to become QB1 for the Jets. The problem is, he may not be as good as Rodgers, and so that again raises the question of what’s next for the Jets? There are some QB options that the Jets can pursue. Option one is none other than Tom Brady, although the odds are stacked against them, and it would make no sense why the Jets would make another move for an old QB. Option two is Ryan Tannehill because the Titans are in a good spot to move on. The last option is to go to free agency and get Carson Wentz, but this makes no sense because, in all honesty, Wentz seems to be worse than Zach Wilson. The future should be interesting.
