An Overview of East’s Biggest Science Club: Science Olympiad
As schools start opening their doors to students, new and old, Science Olympiad is back at it again claiming to be the “club of the school!”Open to any interested students that are fascinated in biology, chemistry, earth science and physics, Science Olympiad is a stem-based competition with 23 events where anyone can showcase their scientific knowledge.
Passing the Torch: Dr. Redmond
I have always thought of a torch as being symbolic of the transmission of good things: knowledge, the Olympic spirit, light to the darkness, etc. So with this in mind, I would like to pass the torch to Dr. Redmond.

GSA Provides a Safe Space For Students
GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) club is for LGBTQ+ students and allies all around Williamsville East. The club is advised by Mrs. Schapp. It is a safe place to be yourself and meet others who share a community. In this club, students watch movies with LGBTQ story lines, learn about LGBTQ celebrities, and more.
“Graham Latinam Clava”
Latin club is a club that is designed to explore additional topics of interest to Latin students and to anyone who is interested in joining. “You do not have to be a current or former Latin student to join the club,” advisor Ms. Brodniki said. The club meets once a month with a different theme each month of the year and usually has fun activities that are Latin-based.
Passing the Torch: Mrs. Pankow
After thinking about it for a very long while, I have decided to nominate one of my co-teachers for this recognition. I would like to nominate Mrs. Pankow for the torch of the month.
East’s Side-by-Side Concerts: A Collaboration With Transit
East’s band and orchestra had their annual side-by-side concert with the 7th and 8th graders from Transit Middle School. The shows were a resounding success and hopefully inspired some of our future students to keep pursuing music.
