A new year means the release of many new movies, some much more promising than the others. More than 2.96 billion dollars go towards movie theater spendings every year, and here are the top 10 movies whose releases fans have been eagerly awaiting.

  1. Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania

Released on February 17th, the third movie of the Antman series starring Paul Rudd, Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania, was promising in the trailer but only received a 48% rating by Rotten Tomatoes.

  1. Creed III

Donnie Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan, has been thriving in his boxing career; however, after his long time friend, Dame Anderson, gets out of prison, he is eager to prove himself as the “king of the ring” and dominate over Donnie.

  1. John Wick: Chapter 4

Keeanu Reeves, playing hitman John Wick, brings his iconic role to new heights as Wick tries to take down an underground crime organization, High Table.

  1. The Little Mermaid: Live Action

After receiving much criticism, Disney will be releasing a live action version of one of the most iconic princess movies.

  1. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

After much praise, Miles Morales is back for another movie release, encountering many variants/versions of the iconic superhero Spiderman.

The latest Pixar movie to be announced, Elemental features characters that resemble the elements of the world: air, fire, water, and earth.

Playing the iconic doll that has been the centerpiece of childhood memories, Margot Robbie takes us through the “Barbie World.”

Starring some of the most praised actors in the world, including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt, this movie focuses on the paradox of how a man needs to destroy the world in order to save it.

After making more than 400 million dollars in the box office from the first movie, Paul and Chani are back to seek revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, this movie will definitely be welcomed by large audiences of fans.

After publishing a prequel to one of the most popular series in the world, the book is getting an adaptation, starring Rachel Zegler and Hunter Schafer.
