The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a heavy lineup for 2021. Here’s the scoop:
Falcon and the Winter Soldier coming out March 19, 2021 as a Disney+ Series will showcase Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan and Sam WIlson, played by Anthony Mackie. This will be Marvel’s 2nd Disney+ series. The events of the show will take place after Avengers Endgame and Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo will return most likely as an antagonist.
Black Widow, released on May 7, 2021 as a movie will take place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Black Widow will be played by Scarlett Johansson. This is presumed to be Scarlett Johansson’s last appearance in the MCU. It will highlight encounters with new recruits of the Black Widow Program, going back to her roots in Russia.
Loki, coming out in May 2021, as a Disney+ Series. It will star Tom Hiddleston as Loki in the alternate timeline he opened when he escaped with the tesseract in Avengers Endgame.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is coming out on July 9 as a new Marvel film. Simu Liu will play Shang-Chi. The movie will be completely Asian-American dominated, the first of its kind in the MCU.
The Eternals is being released on November 5 as a Marvel movie starring Angelina Jolie as Thena, along with, possibly, Harry Styles who has been rumored to be involved. This movie will continue to explore the galaxy in the MCU and give us more knowledge of the expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man 3, with a release date of December 17, will be the newest addition to the modern-era Spider-Man franchise. Tom Holland as Spider-Man will star in his 3rd solo film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This movie is heavily rumoured to feature former Spider-Man actors like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. WandaVision is expected to lead into the film and former villains from Sony’s Spiderman trilogies will return including Electro(Jamie Foxx) and Dr. Octopus(Alfred Molina). Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is also confirmed to appear in the movie hinting that it could involve the multiverse. Marvel could also be setting up the Sinister Six to fight against Spider-Man.
Hawkeye, the new Disney+ series, is planned to be released in late 2021. Jeremy Renner will star in the series as Hawkeye, also known as Clint Barton, alongside Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Clint’s daughter. The series will revolve around the story of Hawkeye’s daughter Kate Bishop.
Ms. Marvel, supposed to be released in late 2021 will be a Disney+ Series following Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani. not much information is known about the show, but in the comics she joins the young avengers which could be set up by the show.
