For all the juniors out there and a handful of sophomores, Wednesday, October 28 is a date circled in red.  In other words, it’s PSAT Day.  For students that are taking the test, buses will be provided for transportation to school.  For the rest of the student body, buses will arrive four hours later than usual, which equates to a half day for most.  Those who are taking the test are less fortunate, sadly.  Those who aren’t, please enjoy those four hours to the fullest.  The test itself will be administered in the math and social studies areas at East.  As to why we can’t just take the day off like so many would hope, the board requires that we spend a certain amount of time in school, so the half day is a must.  For those who are also wondering why we couldn’t have a whole day and pull out the test-taking students instead, it’s because it would be difficult to administer the test and continue classes per usual.  To quote Mrs. DeSantis, “We couldn’t have a good testing site and have classes at the same time so it was the best option for students who are taking the test.”  And with that, juniors, sophomores, study hard and bring honor to your families!
