Marvin Harrison is a name we are all familiar with. He is an all time great. Some people say he is nothing short of a top 5 WR of all time. However, his son, Marvin Harrison Jr., is widely considered one of the greatest WR prospects of all time. The question is should we hop on the bandwagon yet? Nicknamed “Maserati Marv,” he is as dynamic as the name given to him. Some people believe he is such a game changer right now that he can walk into the NFL as the best receiver in the league. The hype is real and the stats speak for themselves: as of writing this article, Marv is averaging 101.6 yards per game. The best way to describe him is a receiver with the speed of Henry Ruggs and the hands of Stefon Diggs.
Marv is the projected number 2 overall pick in the NFL draft. Sadly, this means he is likely going to the Bears, which is somewhere players go to waste their talent. However, a player like Marv could change a team all on his own. I feel like he is a player who can walk into the NFL and catch 1,500 yards in one season and 10 TDs.
Can Marvin Harrison Jr. win the Heisman this year and go on to become a national champion? We won’t get an official answer, but as of right now he is either 2 or 3 in most Heisman polls, and his team is currently the top ranked school in the country. If he can do this, it would be a great accomplishment that would put him in the record books with DeVonta Smith, one of the greatest college football players of all time and a great player in the NFL right now.
