Grab your red and gold, Flames fans—Williamsville East athletics is heading into a packed stretch of fall competition. September may be winding down, but East’s teams are not slowing down. From goals on the turf to cheers in the gym, students and families have many exciting chances to support our classmates.
East’s first home game took place Wednesday, September 2, 2026, when the boys varsity soccer welcomed International Prep to East Turf Field No. 2. The match began at 5 p.m. and helped launch a month filled with competition at home and throughout Western New York.
The six-week calendar covering September 1 through October 9 lists 219 events involving varsity, junior varsity, and seventh- and eighth-grade teams. Soccer leads the lineup with 60 games followed by 58 volleyball contests, 20 field hockey contests, 19 cross-country events, 18 football games, and 17 golf matches. Four scheduled events have been canceled.
There is still much more ahead. Between September 22 and October 9, East’s calendar lists 131 events, 58 at home and 73 away. One matchup to circle is boys varsity soccer against Nichols on September 23rd. The game begins at 5:30 p.m. on East Turf Field No. 2. Later that evening, girls varsity field hockey will face Williamsville South at 7 p.m. on East Turf Field No. 1.
October brings even more games. Girls varsity gymnastics competes against Williamsville North on October 5 and Orchard Park on October 7. Both meets will begin at 5 p.m. in the Williamville South Old Gym. October 9 offers a double feature: girls varsity swimming meets Williamsville North at 5:15 p.m. at Transit Middle School, followed by boys varsity football against Western New York Maritime Charter School at 7 p.m. on East Turf Field No. 1. Varsity teams may receive the biggest crowds, but they are only part of East’s athletic story. Junior varsity and middle-school athletes are competing in football, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, and cross-country. Every contest will give younger athletes experience, build teamwork, and help prepare them for future varsity seasons. Please check the official calendar before heading out. “Vs.” usually means a home contest, while “at” signals an away event. Whether you love touchdowns, goals, sprints, or school spirit, there is something on East’s schedule for you.
With so many teams competing, keeping track of every game can be challenging. The table below highlights several upcoming varsity home games, including their dates, opponents, starting times, and locations. You should check the official calendar before attending because dates, times, and locations may change. Bring a friend, wear East colors, and help make the fall season memorable for the Flames—on and off the field.
