The East’s Varsity Boys’ tennis team has had a successful season so far. Led by Coach Monkarsh, they have worked very hard and put in a lot of time to be where they are today.

Despite this, track has yet to receive any of the renovations that football, soccer and baseball have. Over the past couple years, these other teams have gotten new fields and turf while the track team has yet to receive any comparable renovations.

Despite the setbacks, the girls still have a positive attitude. Co-captain and shortstop Abbie Stellrecht said, “I think everyone’s a lot more grateful just to be on the field since our last season was nonexistent.”

While teaching here for just six years, Mrs. Lanzone has already made a big impact at East.

As we are starting to bring this school year to a close, we are looking for two leaders to fill the positions of secretary and treasurer for next year.

On Tuesday, May 25th, and Friday, May 28th, let’s celebrate this achievement by wearing the colors that represent our greatest Source of Strength that has carried us through.

Philip Baillargeon took first place with a painfully alliterative submission revolving around the unfortunate Ernest Eckerfell.

As one of the largest chapters in the state, East proved itself to be a high-performing school yet again, competing in a total of 49 events and sending three candidates running for State Office.

Through those four years, however, I’ve never gotten to learn much about Ms. Wilson herself until I had the opportunity to interview her.

He is now known as Luke Fitzsimmons, workaholic, husband, father of three girls, grandpa to one, and uncle to many. Although that story happened over 40 years ago, it is still fresh in his mind, easy to recall and look back on, and has shaped his entire life.
