The season of movie releases is almost upon us, and this is your guide for some of the most anticipated movies of the season!

In the Heights: June 11th

This highly anticipated movie musical is coming out this June. Composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and written by Quiara Alegría Hudes, In the Heights stars Anthony Ramos as Usnavi de la Vega as a bodega owner just trying to get by in New York City. The movie musical will be streaming on HBO Max and available in theaters.

Luca: June 17th

Disney Pixar’s newest masterpiece, Luca, is coming out on June 17th. The movie follows a young Italian boy named Luca, who is secretly a sea monster, throughout his summer full of adventures in Italy. All of Pixar’s most recent releases have received high praise, so Luca has a lot to live up to.

Black Widow: July 9th

Disney’s Marvel Studios will release Black Widow, its newest Marvel movie, this July. The movie will be Scarlett Johansson’s, Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), first individual film in the Marvel franchise. It will follow her journey in between the Avengers movies.

Old: July 23

The anticipated thriller, Old, will come out this July. The movie, inspired by “Sandcastle”, a graphic novel, follows a family vacationing on an island when they suddenly start aging rapidly. This movie is good for anyone who is looking for some midsummer mystery.

The Suicide Squad: August 3

DC fans will get another chance to enjoy the suicide squad’s sarcasm and entertainment this summer. The sequel to Suicide Squad will release in theaters as well as HBO Max. It will continue to star Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, but will add some new stars to its cast list such as John Cena and Idris Elba.

Paw Patrol: The Movie: August 20

The famous pups are back at it again with a feature film and a lineup to stun. The popular TV show, Paw Patrol, will be releasing a movie this August that is sure to please their young audience. The movie has an impressive lineup of stars such as Kim Kardashian, Dax Shepard, and Jimmy Kimmel.
