First I would like to thank the kitchen staff for the privilege of being the torch recipient, they are truly a very hard working group of people. Like Custodial, while we are not educators in a classroom I am thankful for the people who recognize the work we do around the building.

The great thing about working at East is all the wonderful employees that fill this building. The bad thing about working at East is all the wonderful employees who work here and having to choose one. I would like to take this opportunity to pass the torch to another hard working individual who also doesn’t have a classroom but is so important to the wellbeing of our school, our school nurse Mrs. Sardina.

She does her best to help keep all us safe and healthy while putting herself at risk dealing with the sick students one on one in person. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to go above and beyond to help anyone.

As you pass by the nurses office give a wave to Mrs. Sardina (she can see you from her desk) and show appreciation for the job she is doing. Thank you Jackie for all you do for the East community.
