After a hiatus due to COVID-19, Drama Club is officially starting up again! Although the club can’t put on an in person performance this year, there are other ways that they are staying involved. Mrs. LoVullo, the club advisor, has started offering master classes for club members.* Master classes are Zoom classes that focus on acting and multiple types of dance. Mrs. LoVullo teaches the classes from Room 210 with a webcam for demonstrating dances. This might not look like the typical year for Drama Club, but Mrs. LoVullo says that “no matter whether we are with each other, face-to-face or through a computer screen, I always have so much fun working with everyone!” Drama Club has always been an open and family-like environment, and even with the obstacles, they still are. The club is looking to do more this year, including zumba classes and creating a mash-up of everything they learn from their master classes.
Mrs. LoVullo also opened up the year’s first meeting with a guest speaker. Lisa Ludwig is a long time performer at Shakespeare in Delaware Park. She talked to the club about acting, Shakespeare, and even did some acting and focus exercises with the group. Drama Club looks forward to getting back on their feet and performing for the community again!
