Wandavison Review: Spoiler Free(Mostly)
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been bold. Despite its frequent reliance on formula, its very existence - a series of storylines told across more than a decade’s worth of multiple interconnected movies - is unlike anything else. It should come as no surprise, then, that WandaVision is also bold and experimental.
1 Year Anniversary of Warzone
Warzone was my lockdown game. Funnily enough, they both started around the same time. Activision's big Call of Duty battle royale launched on 10th March 2020 and was an immediate hit. Warzone popularity exploded. A year later, and we're still in lockdown. And Warzone is increasingly popular. It topped 85 million players by the end of 2020. I mean, just look at what its updates do to download traffic in the UK. But Warzone is more than just a mega-popular battle royale. It's changed Call of Duty forever - and dragged the series kicking and screaming back into the big time.
Mandalorian Season 2 Review
In a year full of pop culture delays and disappointments, The Mandalorian Season 2 accomplished several impressive feats: it enhanced what preceded with an invigorating, activity pressed eight-episode arc; it gave us a week by week interruption from the unforgettable moments of 2020. It pulled off a stunning appearance that outperformed even the underlying Baby Yoda reveal in the series premiere.

The Crunchyroll Divide: Expert Opinion or Fan Opinion?
Anime is one of the most diverse forms of entertainment in the world. Where else can you group an action show about a boy fighting skinless giants with a psychological horror centered on a small white cat thing using human souls as fuel to keep the universe running under the same title? Despite the massive amount of variation in topics covered from show to show, many have taken attempts to argue what the best of the best is, with the most prominent attempt being the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Hosted by Crunchyroll, a streaming service specifically for anime, it lets fans vote for the best anime in various categories from genre to voice acting. This year, after lots of trial and criticism, I believe the Anime Awards have found the right balance between expert opinion and popular vote.
