The Stacked Winterfest Line-Up
The beginning of December marks the start of the holiday season, meaning our annual Winterfest concert is just around the corner! For those of you who don’t know, Winterfest is typically a two-night holiday concert where all of the bands, orchestras, and choruses join together to perform full ensemble, small group, and solo performances, including a prelude performance in the Commons prior to the start of the concert. However, this year, Winterfest was cut down to only one night, meaning auditions to perform were more competitive than ever. Only a few select groups and soloists were chosen to perform alongside the full ensembles to make Winterfest a magical success this year!
Will East Science Olympiad Dominates Invitationals
Each year, Will East team members will study for tests, build structures, and host weekly team meetings to prepare for various stages of competition—Invitationals, Regionals, and States. Get ready for musical season, East! Our spring of 2024 musical will be Mamma Mia, a production using ABBA’s greatest hits to tell the story of Sophie, a 20-year-old girl trying to find out who her father is at her wedding on a Greek island. It’s fun, it’s upbeat, and the show will surely be stunning.
Fighting Amongst the Reformers in APUSH
In the middle of an age of reformation in the United States, reformers in Mrs. Kantz’s AP U.S. History class debated on various reforms to introduce to the American people. From abolition and women's rights to graham crackers and prostitution, a fiery debate was imminent. Tables were flipped, bread was thrown, and tensions rose in President Jackson’s White House.
