Carry the Torch: Mrs. Mahaney

Please help us in congratulating Mrs. Mahaney for being the next TORCH recipient!  Mrs. Mahaney has been an important part of East High School and a huge promoter of school spirit. 

She has been the leader of organizing school wide activities during homecoming week that create lasting memories for all students. You will see her at sporting events, chaperoning at dances, and supporting with drama club.  As the co-advisor for Student Council, she is constantly working to make East High a fun place for students to spend their 4 years of high school.

She has worked tirelessly to put other people first, with her most popular accomplishment being the organization of the food drive at East and donating to the Turkey Basket project. Thanks to her spunky, creative reminders for students to bring in food donations, and her willingness to wear a turkey costume, she holds an integral part of feeding 500 families in WNY. 

Mrs. Mahaney’s commitment to her students can be seen in the classroom as well.  She is always finding ways to engage her students and teach them skills needed today and after they leave East High. Students truly value and adore her, and so do WE!
