- Play the guitar on the air
Although strange, holding an invisible guitar and pretending to play it is more common than it seems. If you are a fan of this art, you cannot miss the world airhead championships that are held every year in Finland. It’s a competition where it doesn’t matter how well you play, but rather how well you look when you play. You can’t miss the incredible costumes and imaginative guitars as these masters perform in front of thousands of spectators.
- Sing with the fish
Singing with fish may seem eccentric, but there are true fans of singing underwater. And if you are one of these interested parties, you cannot miss the multiple underwater music festivals in Florida. The Underwater Music Festival is an event that brings together music fans. - Playing dead
Without a doubt one of the strangest hobbies is pretending to be dead. If this already seems strange to you, you should know that there is a big fan of this hobby. Chuck Lamb, who seems to be another ordinary person, a married man with six children, always had the dream of being an actor but unfortunately did not achieve it. But that didn’t stop him, as he decided to follow a particular way of attracting attention. Also known as “a dead success,” since 2005 he has taken photos in which he pretends to be dead, then publishes them on his social networks and obtains millions of views.
- To Sue

He achieved the Guinness World Record for filing an impressive number of lawsuits, and he sued them too. Since January 8, 2006, he has filed over 2600 lawsuits in federal district courts across the country, and some of them have definitely caught the attention of the public and the press.
- Extreme ironing
This strange hobby has been going on since the early 1980’s. This activity consists of practicing certain sports such as climbing a mountain, riding a helicopter, and mid-air skydiving, all while the athletes iron. All of these fans have purchased irons that adapt to the requirements required by their sport, such as specific characteristics for a rocky place, the forest, underwater, etc. Some sports are not extreme, but there have been extremists who have even climbed to the Mt. Everest Base Camp and ironed a Union Jack at an altitude of 17,850 feet above sea level. Also, in Florida, a group sent 173 divers into an indoor swimming pool to iron underwater, breaking the previous record of 86 divers.
- Mooing
The name says it all. Just as it sounds, this sport is based on doing the best imitation of a cow. Moo-la-palooza is a competition that started in the United States, and competitors of all ages can participate. This competition takes place at the Wisconsin State Fair, and the winner of the grand championship receives $1,000, a year of free subs from Cousins, a cow print jacket, and the prestigious golden cowbell trophy. Without a doubt, it is one of the strangest and most original hobbies.
- Tattooing Vehicles
It is true that we all like to draw on cars when they are covered in dust or cold, but other people have taken this fun activity to another level in which their hobby is based on tattooing cars. A pensioned Taiwanese man decided to start drawing on all his vehicles with wise words from Buddhist texts. His name is Li Zongxiong, a shop owner, who started tattooing his car, two trucks and a motorbike. His words virtually cover the vehicles, including the mirrors, windscreens, bodywork, doors, wheels — and even the number plates.
- Train Surfing
This hobby involves jumping off a passenger train to hitchhike; however, it is something very dangerous that has led to more than 40 people dying. It is a serious thing that started in Germany in the 80’s, and despite how dangerous it is, people do not hesitate to risk their lives for this hobby. It is described as a free sport, and everyone has the power to decide what style they want to surf with. Most of these people retire when they find stability in their life.
- Duck Herding
This pastime consists of people guiding a group of ducks with the help of a herding stick through a course with obstacles and challenges. It is a competitive sport that also includes the help of sheep dogs that make the ducks pass through obstacles and finally reach a pen. Even though it’s a bit strange, this hobby is a popular choice among corporate team-building events in the U.K. According to some scientific studies, ducks have a strong innate herding instinct in the presence of a human with a herding stick, so herding ducks with a stick will make them follow you everywhere.
