For all of you Shakespeare fans out there, it’s time for the Stratford Trip this year!  Over the years, students have had the opportunity to go to Stratford, Ontario to see a Shakespeare play during the Stratford festival.  The day-long trip is a favorite of all East students, with Mrs. Catalano and Mr. Hurley joining the fun each year.  This year the Stratford trip will be on October 8th, and students will be able to see The Taming of the Shrew, a Shakespearean comedy. If you are interested in going, there may still be a few tickets left– you can check with Mrs. Catalano for more information.

The itinerary of the Stratford trip involves leaving at 8 in the morning and arriving back around 9pm.  During the trip, students get to take a look around the town of Stratford to see shops and eat lunch, see the play, and have a great time with friends on the trip there and back.  The trip is an opportunity to see plays performed at an internationally recognized annual celebration of theatre and Shakespeare.

For those of you going to the Stratford festival this year, enjoy The Taming of the Shrew and another year of Shakespeare!
