Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been “hanging out” for a while now, and things were in ‘early stages’ but the world was thrilled yet confused when Swift showed up to Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game on September 25th.
Swift and Kelce have been single for a while now, as swift broke up with actor Joe Alwyn during her world tour in the USA. Kelce has stayed single since he ended things with sports journalist Kayla Nicole back in 2022.
It seems as though Kelce is very committed as he did more than just drop a hint, he publicly stated that he was interested in her.
Kelce attended Swifts Eras tour in July at Arrowhead Stadium, his home team’s ground and many fans posted about this on social media. He spoke about this on his podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, and said that the show was ‘butt hurt’ since he didn’t get a chance to speak to Swift before her performance.
Kelce said, “If you’re up at Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets,” “And I received a bunch of them from being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
“Your number as in 87, or your phone number?” his brother asked.
“You know which one,” Kelce replied jokingly
A fan account said that he had a “friendship bracelet and a dream”
An interesting moment came up on august 5th when there was a tik tok asking players about their celebrity crushes.
Kelce did not give an answer right away and was considering when one of his teammates interrupted “Taylor Swift?” which made Kelce laugh before they moved on.
But the signs came back around the end of august, from the Kelce brother podcast. They were casually discussing the Kelce’s annual training camp mustache when his brother brought her.
“Have you found out what Taylor Swift thinks of your mustache?” he asked
“Yeah, we’re not going to bring up Taylor Swift in this episode,” Kelce said flustered “But something tells me she’s gonna like it.”
Later in September, Tony Gonzalez asked Kelce’s brother about the rumors.
“I’ve seen these rumors; I cannot comment,” he stated
After, he said that his brother was “having fun” and that “we’ll see what happens with who he ends up with”
Later in the season during a press interview, Kelce made it all clear, “I threw the ball in her court, I told her, I’ve seen you rock a stage in Arrowhead and you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead. We’ll see what happens in the near future.”
Swift showed up, dressed in Chiefs colors cheering alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna in a Private suite. Later while leaving the game with Kelce she said that “it was the best”
Kelce talked about her appearance on his podcast later that week saying “Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up, that was pretty ballsy!”
“I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends and family. She looked amazing. Everyone was talking about her in great light.”
Many Swift fans were delighted to see her there and believed wholeheartedly that there was indeed something going on between her and the football player.
Kelce is also different from all the other men she’s been with, since his career isn’t based on arts, he is an athlete, which is also a surprising change for fans.
