NFL Commissioner RogerGoodell has said that the current stadiums in the cities of Oakland, St. Louis, and San Diego are inadequate, and therefore not good enough to keep the Raiders, Rams, and Chargers in their home areas.
The report doesn’t allow the teams to immediately transfer to Los Angeles.  This decision must be determined by the owners’ votes.  There are two stadium projects- Carson and Inglewood- that may be approved, neither of which have been given a preference by Goodell.
A minimum of 24 of the 32 league owners must vote in order for a move to have approval. Â While Goodell himself does not have a vote as the commissioner, his report is meant to give an objective point of view to help the club make proper judgment on the proposed solutions.
Meanwhile, the Chargers and Raiders have come to propose regarding a stadium in Carson, while the Rams would like to build a stadium in Inglewood. Â Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has expressed his support of the Chargers and Rams sharing Inglewood stadium. Â The city of Oakland has not made a complete proposal regarding the stadium, but has kept an interest in retaining the Raiders.
None of the teams would be breaking its lease by deviating from the current market. Â In fact, market research shows that the Los Angeles area could support two teams.
