Start of the 2017-2018 NBA Season

The start of the new NBA season kicks off with 2 games on October 17th. The Boston Celtics travel to Cleveland to face off against the Cavaliers, while the new-look Houston Rockets go to Oracle Arena to play the Golden State Warriors. There are many storylines to follow on this star-studded Tuesday night of basketball. The return of Kyrie Irving to Cleveland is perhaps the most intriguing story to follow, as just a few months ago he requested a trade from the Cavs. The Cavs and Celtics are projected to be the top 2 seeds in the East so it will be interesting to see who wins. As for the Rockets, they are looking to show that they can really compete in the West this year with the addition of superstar point guard Chris Paul. They will go up against the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors, who are once again projected to win the 2018 NBA Finals. Another year of chemistry between the Big 4 in the Golden State will only make them that much better. It will be interesting to see if other teams can compete for a championship, or if the Warriors’ reign will continue.
