The Warriors over the years have been one of the greatest teams ever assembled. Their dynasty is old and has won 4 championships already. The thing is that the Warriors don’t look good this year. Curry is averaging 30 points per game, but the Warriors are barely .500.
The thing is, to me, the Warriors are still the best team in the league; this is solely because coach Steve Kerr has done an amazing job of load managing, and even though the Warriors don’t look good right now when all the starters play, they look great as they actually are beating top teams like the Celtics. The Warriors are also getting young players serious playing time while key guys aren’t playing, so even though they lose these games, their future is getting a lot of NBA experience. This is why I believe the Warriors dynasty is not anywhere near being over.
In my mind, the Warriors are actually planning on moving on from some key guys like Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, but they are developing guys to immediately make an impact on the team as real replacements, like Jonathan Kuminga and Jordan Poole who are looking great. If the Warriors can win the NBA Finals this season and show these players what it takes to be the best, it should motivate these young players into getting better and better until they can win a Championship on their own. This is actually genius and for some reason no one, not even Steven A. Smith can figure this out. The Warriors will turn up very soon and everyone will be afraid of what should be a second dynasty shaping on the same team.
