For incoming freshmen still looking for a club to join, FBLA will have something for you! Whether it be volunteering community service, competing in competitive events, or meeting new people, FBLA is more than just a business organization — it’s a club where you can make new friends and have a lot of fun.

The State Leadership Conference will be held virtually this year, and competitive events signups are closed. Though New York is known for its impressive state conferences, your State Officer Team is working hard to ensure that this year’s state conference is still memorable! Look forward to interactive elements, educational workshops, and much more.

If you haven’t signed up for SLC, there are still several opportunities for members to become involved and obtain recognition! By working on the Program of Work challenges, students can engage in community service. And through participating in the Business Achievement Awards and Community Service Awards, members can receive state and national recognition! These state and national programs are excellent ways to show your dedication and commitment to FBLA.

In addition to the State Leadership Conference, the National Leadership Conference is coming up! Although it will be held virtually as well, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with other people around the country and several interactive activities. While it is true that participating in NLC from the comfort of your own home may not be as exciting as traveling to a city with your friends, this virtual conference experience will certainly be one to remember! Stay tuned for updates!

Lastly, engage with FBLA members through social media by following @newyorkfbla and @easternregionfbla on Instagram. There are several amazing social media initiatives and resources being released that you do not want to miss! FBLA continues to offer countless opportunities for its members to gain leadership skills and experience, despite the virtual year. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions about how to get involved!
