With online shopping slowly taking over our daily lives, the billion dollar company, Amazon, only grows bigger. If you’re unfamiliar with this company, then I’d suggest that you google it, or just keep reading. Amazon is website that allows any user with a credit card number to order, essentially, anything they wanted from the comfort of their homes. This convenience and efficiency is the basis of online shopping. With a few clicks, you can have a package at your doorstep within a fortnight, or two weeks if it’s coming from China.

Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, is the richest man alive, with a net worth of an estimated 90 billion dollars. With Amazon releasing a new original product, the excitement is greater than ever. On TV commercials, you may have seen an advertisement on Amazon’s original “Echo” device. It was basically a speaker that also served as another Siri. You place the small cylindrical device on your shelf, and you can interact with it using just your voice, making to-do lists, checking the weather, or setting an alarm. This device is pretty useful, but like all technologies, there is always room for improvement.

Introducing the new Echo Plus. It’s a larger model than the original, and comes with all the upgrades you’d expect: better sound quality, a built in homehub, and bug fixes. This fresh and new gadget was unveiled on September 27th just this year, and the official release date is tentative. Make sure to keep up with the news, so that you can snag one of these right away before they run out of stock. It costs $150 by the way. Yeah, I know it’s expensive, and that’s also why Jeff Bezos is a billionaire.

In addition to this, the Echo Spot was also introduced. For $130, you can plug this device into a larger speaker, and have it serve the same functions as the Echo. The Echo Connect is a box-shaped model that will let you make landline calls for free in the United States. This is only priced at $35, but as you can imagine it’s functions are very limited.

Stay tuned in to the news for more updates if you want to watch me give Amazon more free advertising for their products.
