The Williamsville East Varsity Baseball team has been on a roll this year winning game after game. Featuring 1st place ranking in ECIC Division II, top 20 placement in New York State, and 9 home runs as of June 14th, the team is a true force to contend with.
According to senior varsity player Riley Intihar, everyone feels really lucky to have a season this year. Baseball, as a sport, has relatively minimal contact between players, so in that sense, covid hasn’t really impacted the game besides the use of masks. However, there are no States for baseball this year which is rather unfortunate given how strong the team is. Despite this setback, the team is mostly just focused on enjoying the season and playing the best that they can.
