Are you looking for a way to pass the time after online class? Do you like fun with a hint of mystery? Do you fancy yourself as a detective? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, look no further than Among Us

Considered one of the best games of the year, Among Us combines cooperation and distrust, in a beautiful marriage of working together and sabotage. The game takes place in outer space, aboard a space shuttle. The players each function as crew members and are given a list of menial tasks to perform. By working together to complete these tasks, the players can win the game. Seems easy enough right?

Wrong! In each game, one to three of the players are selected as imposters. The imposters are given a fake list of tasks and directions to sabotage the other players’ tasks and to kill their fellow crewmates. To add to the suspense, none of the players know who is a regular crew member or who is an imposter.

Once players are killed, the discovered bodies can be reported, which causes the crew to host an emergency meeting. Through discussion and voting, the crew members can determine who they believe to be the imposter. If the crew reaches a consensus, that player will be expelled from the ship into the depths of outer space, killing them. After the player is expelled, it is revealed whether or not they are the real imposter.

Dead players and imposters return to the game as ghosts. They have limited abilities and are invisible to other players, but must try to help their respective sides win the game. Once either all of the players are killed, all the tasks are completed, or all of the imposters are expelled, the game is won.

This game has a beautiful mix of immersive thrill and mystery that is not overshadowed by blood, guts, and gore. The bright colors add to the fun of this game, making it perfect for anyone who loves a good whodunnit case but isn’t too keen on the sight of entrails. Among Us can be found on the App Store, Google Play, Steam, and many other platforms.

I love this game and would recommend it to anyone who wants to start in multiplayer gaming without delving into something too intense, or experienced gamers for a lighthearted experience. I would rate Among Us a 5/5,
