By Mr. DePlato
It is that time again to pass the Torch. First and foremost, I want to thank Mrs. Warner for honoring me with the Torch. Mrs. Warner is the heart and soul of this school, so I am truly humbled that she would think that I am deserving of this honor.
Now comes the hardest part of winning this award, which is passing the Torch on to the next worthy person. There are so many that go above and beyond that it is almost impossible to pick just one. I have had the pleasure to work with this teacher on several occasions. She and her colleagues have some of the hardest jobs here. They have to motivate and encourage all of their students, which we all know is no easy task.
However, she gets out there every day and pushes her students to get involved. She is a cheerleader for each and every one of her students. I recently had the pleasure to help out in her class as she taught her high school students to line dance. Let me tell you that it takes true courage to get up in front of a class and show her students her special dance moves. She knows that the more comfortable the students are, the more involved they will be.
Therefore, I would like to pass the torch to Ms. Zgoda, a teacher who proved everyday she is one of a kind.
