On Tuesday, September 25, Williamsville East High School appointed Brian Swatland as its new principal. The decision was confirmed at the Board of Education’s meeting earlier that night. It was formally announced on Williamsville Central School District’s official Twitter account, @WCSD_K12. Currently, Mr. Swatland serves as Williamsville North High School’s assistant principal. Prior to that, Mr. Swatland was a physical education teacher at North and the coach for the school’s varsity track, wrestling, and football teams. Swatland is an alumnus of Canisius College, where he played defensive tackle for the football team, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1998 and his master’s degree in 2002. Although many will miss Mr. Scanzuso, we are very excited to welcome Principal Swatland to Williamsville East High School. Go Flames!
